The Mind of a Conservative Woman by Senator Marsha Blackburn
Before you blow this off as a political post or think this is a statement of political views, read the next sentence. Anyone who wants to get pointers and learn skills for debates, making a point, or trying to explain a different point of view to someone should consider this book. What is interesting is that in the course of an autobiography about a woman who was the first in several fields, she gives tips on how to try and change a person’s point of view, debate without slinging personal insults, and how to prepare for arguing for a belief or point of view. There is some historical references and a suggested reading list at the end, which may also be interesting for all political view points. An insightful read, however there are some political sections and it is clear how the author thinks.
