Emerald Green by Kerstin Gier
Ruby Red, Sapphire Blue, and Emerald Green were an amazingly fun read and transport you into another world, you want to be a part of and create lasting friendships for the reader. As with so many books I post I highly recommend this book if you like time travel, adventure, mystery, young adult fiction, love stories, and escaping into a world that is ours but so much more as well.

Book Review/Book Summary:
The author bring you bouncing forth from the past to the current and everywhere in between with her characters, and you love her for it.
Gwen and Gideon have a lot to work out and in a very short amount of time. Gwen’s secret research with Lesley gathers more people as the secrets start to unravel. Gideon and Raphael team up with Lesley and Gwen and when they all share what they know the truth about the chronograph and the Count’s plans are easily figured out.
The author has accomplished so much with her characters in this trilogy that at times you want to reach through the pages and smack some people, and hug and comfort others. The character depth is not so detailed, but she does enough to let your imagination run with what has been laid out over the three books. This author has found the magic line between not developing a character enough and providing too much background and detail to the reader. As a reader my greatest joy is being able to let my imagination work while I am reading about my characters and this author does that, when she adds facts it is not out of the blue or out of character for what has already been revealed and just adds enough to help your imagination fill in more gaps.
Charlotte is at her worst in this book, with realizing that she has lost out on so much more than just being a time-traveler, she hits rock bottom. Gwen’s family shows their true colors when it comes to caring about each other and protecting each other. Some secrets are not as big a shock to readers who followed some clues and some plot twists were a very nice surprise that I didn’t see coming at all. If anyone saw clues about who the Count is in the present, please let me know what there were, because I missed them.
This books gives you a happy ever after feeling for several characters, while leaving unfinished lives for other characters. It would be hard to find a reason that a fourth book would be written, since the plot for the trilogy has a nice conclusion, but I will keep a special spot open in my imagination for what is happening with so many of these characters now and in the future.
