My Friend Anna by Rachel Williams
While the trial made headlines and there are several possible films of this event, Rachel’s store is human. She has emotions, unlike Anna, and you feel the heartbreak she experienced as she was going through the events. What is interesting is how Rachel was justifying behavior her boyfriend, Nick, was questioning Anna’s behavior and their friendship. Nick did not think Anna was a con artist at first, but that the friendship was turning unhealthy. Rachel was able to see the shift and see the changes as she looked back, but while it was happening she was not fully aware. Which is understandable, because going through an event one does not have the outside perspective or the experience of looking backing and seeing the signs that might have been there.
Instead of helping fund the con-artist, if you want to know about what was happening read this book instead.
