In education we often talk about how  it is important for children to see people that look like them as the main characters in book.  It is equally important to read about people who do not look like them, to help them understand, have compassion, and respect people who do not look like them in the real world.  This is a great list, so I wanted to share, I hope you enjoy these 28 books.
