Wizard of Most Wicked Ways by Charlie N. Holmberg
The final story of Merritt, Hulda, Owein, and their family has a most interesting ending. While the previous book, Boy of Chaotic Making, seemed to have ended the story this book seems to really be the final story. Owein must decide if he will marry Lady Cora or if he will run off with the druid he loves. First, Silas Hogwood is back and must be dealt with before Owein can figure out his love life. After five years, thoughts of Silas are far from everyone’s mind, but a powerful visitor and Owein recognizing the smell of Silas put everyone in danger. Lady Cora sends help in the form of the League of Magicians, and Owein tries to harness the power that is in him and in his new body, thanks to the help of Hulda’s secret lab and what they are learning there. As the battle for Whimbrel House takes life or death consequences Owein realizes how much family means to him, and what it means to sacrifice for family. With the help of his nephew’s family and the family of his new body Owein gives everything he has to keep his family safe and honor his word. A character list and any more information would be giving away secrets that are best for the reader to discover when they are going through this book. Truly a great way to end this series (maybe) and see what has become of the characters readers grew to love over the first three books.
