Bread, Coffee, Magic

Bread, Coffee, Magic by Jessica Rosenberg

The sequel to Butter, Sugar, Magic this series seems to be highly entertaining and has this reader eagerly waiting to move along in the series (sadly the To Be Read pile/crates are getting bigger as more books keep getting added to them). Cassie thinks things are going great in their new town, but her daughter is not as happy and wants to return home to Georgia, or does she just want her dad back in her life? Cassie’s ex-husband shows up unexpectedly and makes a great show for his daughter about how he wants them back, but once there is an accident and Aurie’s magic is revealed things take a bit of a turn. Cassie has forgotten what it is like to have family and friends who will help you and when Aurie is kidnapped all her magical friends stand by her as she fights to get her daughter back. Not only does Cassie get Aurie back, but she and Crystal sort of adopt another witch who has a very unusual power and promise to protect her and help her out. The witches in this town are there for one another and provide the reader with great laughs and a bit of adventure. This is a great series and happy to get the next book in the series to see what these ladies are up to next. This town and these characters really do feel like a magical version of the Gilmore Girls for fans of that TV show.
