The Dictionary of Lost Words

The Dictionary of Lost Words by Pip Williams

After two attempts to read this book, and one attempt at listening to the audiobook, I am was not able to get past Part I. I want to like the book, the idea sound amazing, it has so many great reviews by other readers and other authors. I do not know why I was not inspired to finish this book and I cannot come up with a single reason to tell you not to read this book. I just was meh about this story. The best reason I can come up with is that this is not the right book for me at this time in my life. Readers go through changes and the books they read change as their lives change. With this in mind, I am not going to donate or give this book away, it will return to my “To be read crate” and maybe one day this will be the book I am mean to read at that point in my life. If you have read this book, or struggled like I did with finishing the book, please comment on why this book was such a good read for you or why you struggled. My hope is through comments I might be able to figure out why this was not the right time for this book in my life or when it might be the right time to pick it back up and try again.
