The Heir Affair by Heather Cocks and Jessica Morgan

I tried to like this book, but I was not able to. After two attempts, one reading the book and one listening, I decided this book was not for me and gave up about a third of the way through. I think it might be appealing to girls who dream of marrying into the British Royal family and all that craziness. The scenarios felt completely unrealistic, really there is a room in the castle that no one knows about out, but yet it has a window to the outside? There was an entire apartment in the castle that had not been cleaned or entered by anyone in over a decade? It just didn’t make sense. The character felt very shallow with character development and motivation. The local independent bookstore recommended this and someone on staff liked this, so it is a well liked series. If you are a fan of this book and can explain why I should give it a third chance please comment on why.
