Everyone in My Family has Killed Someone by Benjamin Stevenson
Ernest Cunningham is the narrator and he walks you through the suspense filled few days he and his family reunite for the first time in 3 years at a ski lodge in Australia, after Ernest turned his brother over for murdering someone. Ernest’s older brother Michael is released from prison and is heading to the ski lodge, but before he arrives there is a dead body found in the snow. With a family full of people who have killed someone Ernest’s family is in he middle of the investigation. Clues are given to the reader along the way and if you were really paying attention the one killing the bodies at the ski lodge had a multiple clues. Even waiting a few days to write how enjoyable this book was, it is still hard not to give clues away. There will not be a character list, as it would be hard not to give away something about each family member (or supporting character). The joy of a suspense novel is captured with the comedy and wit of a standup comedian. While the holidays are approaching, what better book to bring to a family gathering, than one called Everyone in My Family has Killed Someone?
One tease, Andy did surprise me at the end when he went in action hero mode to save his wife from the fire and the serial killer.
