Bookshop

There is no book review on this post. Just a small change I wanted people to be aware.

I do not write reviews in an effort to make money from the review or from people buying the book. I include a link to Amazon for each title in an effort to make it easier for readers to find and buy the book if they want to. The link is the title of the book, and if you click it should open a new page and take you to that book on Amazon. However, recently I started feeling bad because there is something special about going to an independently owned bookstore and not ordering from Amazon or going to a huge bookstore like Barnes and Noble. In an effort to help people find the book if they want to buy it and support or find a local bookstore I am going to start using bookshop.org as the link when you click on the title of the book.

I have created a page on bookshop.org that I am going back and adding the books I have reviewed. Including a few that have not yet been published. I love to read, but do not want to overwhelm anyone with reviews so I try and space out reviews so that one comes every 7-8 days. I also hold some books until what I consider the best time of year to read the book (for example Sign Here was read early in 2023 but since all the action took place in the summer I felt it was best to read it then). There is also a section for books that I have waiting be read (I consider it a to be read collection not pile or list) and what I am reading now (because like many book dragons I read more than 1 book at a time).

There has never been the intent to make money from the reviews, I do this as much to share reviews of books as to document the books I have read. This will not change, I hope this change helps readers support local bookshops, if they desire to buy a book. Also, please do not forget that libraries are amazing and you can borrow many of the books reviewed at a local library.
